Conservation Easement

Black Canyon Land Trust Support

The Black Canyon Land Trust has protected over 32,000 acres of wildlife habitat, agricultural land, wetlands, and open space. As the communities of Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Gunnison Counties continue to grow, the demands for conservation of the unique lands and open spaces of the Uncompahgre, North Fork, and Lower Gunnison Watersheds increase.

BCLT is a 501(c)3 charitable organization registered with GuideStar. We use tax-deductible donations to strengthen our organization, increase public awareness of conservation efforts, and protect unique lands forever in conservation easements.

Your support is needed! Funds donated by supporters are used to:

  • acquire conservation easements;

  • provide technical assistance to landowners interested in conserving land;

  • conduct our public outreach programs which help educate landowners, citizens, attorneys, appraisers, accountants, realtors, and consultants about conservation through conservation easements.

Supporter Benefits include knowing that your donation, large or small, helps protect the beauty and splendor of our valleys, mountains, farms, ranches, waters, forests, and open spaces; newsletters throughout the year; invitations to special events such as field trips, fundraisers, and community outreach programs; volunteer opportunities; and eligibility for appointment to the Board of Directors and Committees.

Please donate and become a supporter today using our Mail-In/Drop-In Donation Form (html version | .pdf version) and returning to BCLT with a check.
