In a spirit of cooperation in the efforts to preserve our working ranchlands and ranching heritage the Northern San Juan Initiative, the Ouray County Ranch History Museum, the Ouray County Museum and the Ranching History of Ouray County at the Ridgway Public Library all shared a booth space at the Ouray County Fair and Rodeo this August 31st through September 3rd, 2006. This booth was awarded the Best of Show in the booth division. Many folks toured through the booth and picked up newsletters and brochures. It was a great time to visit about the goals of the Northern San Juan Initiative and preserving our working ranchlands. It seems that this topic is on the minds of many. What a great opportunity to promote our efforts.
